PediaVance Oral Electrolyte is scientifically formulated to contain appropriate levels of electrolytes, water and carbohydrates to maintain proper hydration. PediaVance is made with organic ingredients, comes in natural grape and apple flavors, and contains no artificial sweeteners or colors. This special formulation is made with organic white grape juice; a well tolerated juice for children recovering from diarrhea.
Electrolytes are mineral substances (sodium, potassium, and chloride) that conduct electrical currents in the body and maintain tissue fluids. The balance of the electrolytes in our bodies is essential for the normal functioning of body cells and organs. Electrolytes are needed to prevent dehydration that may be caused by diarrhea or vomiting from illnesses such as the flu, rotavirus, Norwalk virus or food poisoning. Giving pure water is not the best way to restore body fluid levels because it dilutes the minerals inside the body’s cells and interferes with their chemical and electrical functions.
Ingredients: Filtered Water, Organic Dextrose, Organic White Grape Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Malic Acid, Potassium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Elderberry (color).

For Infants less than 12-months, consult your doctor before using this or any other electrolyte maintenance product. Initiate feeding as soon as possible once diarrhea has started. Your doctor will recommend the appropriate amount to feed based on baby’s weight.
For children 1 year of age or older, provide Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution every 1-4 hours or as directed by your doctor. A child may consume as much as 64 FL OZ per day to replenish fluids while diarrhea continues. Serve chilled, also freeze into a fun treat or blend partially frozen into ice slushy.
Discontinue use of Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution when diarrhea ceases.
